About Tender Heart Toolbox

Hi, I’m Robin Ford (they/them or she/her)!

My journey to this work started with the recognition that like many of us, I have been doing this work for a long time!

My experience is varied- I have helped an author organize her research, a teenager manage her closet, a family downsize their recipe and cookbook collection, and a business prepare for an audit. I am genuinely curious about people and how they interact with space and materials. These experiences and curiosity led me to graduate school and receiving a Master of Library and Information Science degree.

Working as a librarian, caregiver, and teacher has prepared me to support individuals and families in a non-judgmental, caring, and compassionate manner to organize, downsize, and move their belongings for different life transitions.

I love working with Seniors, LGBTQI+ Folks, People with Disabilities, Women, Parents, and Teens.

My expertise as a librarian and information professional also means that you can feel confident in how I handle your physical and digital belongings, accounting for their care and preservation while respecting and maintaining privacy and confidentiality.

Kindness and care are what motivate me. My core values inform my work. I focus on ethically disposing of unwanted materials through donation to charity, recycling, and the appropriate local waste management regulations.

Your privacy is important to me. I do not collect or share any information or data beyond what is absolutely necessary for me to complete the work I do for you. No information or data collected during the duration of our time together will ever be shared with a third party.
